This Chevron Patented Technology helps significantly reduce customer operating costs by delivering maximum system protection to both the engine and emissions system. This all-encompassing protection helps drastically reduce Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) clogging delivering industry redefining fuel economy retention and extended DPF service life.

Current heavy-duty engine oils are formulated to the API CK-4 limit of 1% sulfated ash. Chevron’s Delo® 600 ADF with OMNIMAX­™ is formulated to 0.4% sulfated ash, which helps drastically reduce the rate of DPF plugging. As engine oil is consumed, incombustible metallic “ash” accumulates in the DPF. Reduced ash clogging results in lower backpressure, less frequent regeneration and improved fuel economy.

What is PC-11?

PC-11 is the next generation of heavy duty engine oil focused on increasing fuel economy, extending drain intervals and maintaining wear control at low viscosity grades. This category replaced the API CJ-4 oils with two offerings: API CK-4 (PC-11a) and API FA-4 (PC-11b).

What is the difference in PC-11 API CK-4 and API FA-4?

• API CK-4 (PC-11a) – normal HT/HS viscosity oil that is fully backwards compatible with new and older engines using API CJ-4 oils.
• API FA-4 (PC-11b) – lower HT/HS viscosity oil that is not backward compatible for new 2016 diesel engines that maximizes fuel economy at lower viscosity grades.

Mixed fleets with gas and diesel engines should look for the API CK-4/SN or API FA-4/SN designation that indicates it is approved for both engine types.
